  • 'Wings for Victory' Plaque & Associated Log Book

Wings for Victory Plaque & Associated Log Book
    • This item is not available for sale.

An original WWII 'Wings for Victory' plaque from 1943 presented to Carnlough, County Antrim for saving £11,271 during the national fund raising event held from 1st to 8th May 1943.

In 1943 each county in the UK was set a financial target and in turn this sum was divided up between the districts within that county, effectively setting them a proportion of the overall county target.

The Air Ministry presented these (now extremely rare) plaques to those who successfully reached their targets.
